Manifestation, Spring & Happiness: a heavenly combo

If anyone were to invent the perfect day for the calendar, this would be it.

20 March doesn’t just mark the official start of spring — that moment when the sun crosses the equator and day and night are exactly the same length — it’s also the International Day of Happiness. A moment that feels perfectly time for reflection, fresh starts and a bit of intentional manifestation. Not bad at all, right?

Every year, the UN uses this day to remind us that happiness isn’t a luxury, but a key part of human wellbeing.

Back in 2012, it officially recognised that the pursuit of happiness and wellbeing should sit right at the heart of global policies.

Which is a very polished way of saying, “being happy actually matters”. And where happiness goes, manifestation often follows — especially when we slow down enough to set clear intentions.

That mindset naturally connects with manifestation: the idea that focusing on what matters can shape what comes next.

Mix that message with the arrival of spring and it’s a bit like serving mojitos on a sunny terrace — there’s just natural chemistry there. The equinox brings a sense of balance, light starts to win the day, and everything feels a little more open. Plants begin to bloom, the days stretch out, and if you’re open to it, even laughter feels easier to come by. It’s the perfect backdrop for manifestation, whether that’s new ideas, creative goals or a healthier sense of balance.

And since we make a living telling stories through images, we’ve got a theory. There’s a direct link between the light coming through the lens and the sense of wellbeing we feel when we see it later on screen. Watching a project grow from an idea into something real is manifestation in action. We’re not sure that appears in any UN report, but it definitely boosts the team’s happiness when everything finally clicks.

So today, we’re not just saying “hello spring” with the windows open and a hot coffee in hand. We’re also saying “thank you” to all those small, happy moments that quietly shape our days. From a spontaneous laugh on set to an editing session with no bugs, these are the details that make the process — and the manifestation of ideas — genuinely worthwhile.

Because if spring, happiness and manifestation share one thing, it’s this: an invitation to look for more light than shadow… even on cloudy days.
