Over the past few months, the Spain Film Commission’s been everywhere: a shiny new website, a full-on rebrand, awards in Cannes, and even an ambitious film tourism initiative. It’s fantastic to see how Spain is stepping confidently onto the global stage. It is now one of the most attractive destinations for international productions. Every new step forward helps strengthen the country’s growing film service industry. And we absolutely love to see it.
Here at INNOVA FILMS, we’re celebrating — because the easier it is for big productions to come here, the more opportunities there are for local film service teams like ours to shine.
And let’s be honest — if someone decides to shoot their next blockbuster on La Caleta beach in Cádiz, our film service crew will be ready and waiting!
But while we celebrate national progress, we also care deeply about what’s happening closer to home. We really hope these new initiatives don’t just concentrate on Madrid, Seville, or the other major cities. Down here in Cádiz, we’ve got cinematic light that changes by the hour. We have passionate and skilled crews, and locations that can take your breath away. We also believe collaboration between regional film offices and local film service providers could make a massive difference. This could build stronger networks and smoother productions across Spain. There’s no reason why the film service network shouldn’t stretch all the way to the southern coast — and beyond.
So, to sum up: we love what we’re seeing, we applaud the direction things are heading, and we’re proudly raising our hand to say, “Hey, Cádiz is playing this game too!” Because if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s that telling stories from our corner of the world — with the right film service behind them — can be every bit as universal as any Hollywood blockbuster.
